Welcome to week 6!
Monday was classes and homework as usual. (I am starting to see a pattern) We LOVE Ben's cookies. So what did we do for FHE? That's right. Cookies. And movie night of course.
Tuesday was another quiet day. Getting those journals done!
Wednesday we visited Leighton House. There were really cool rooms decorated with tile!
Thursday: HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. Kayla was my date for the day and we went to Ed's diner for lunch. That night we all went to see a college put on Oedipus in Greek! Talk about romantic. :)
Friday we took a train to Hampton Court! Home of Henry VIII. It was so beautiful! We just spent the day looking at the palace and the gorgeous gardens! Luckily it was a nice, warmer day so we could stand being outside!
So pretty!
Kayla and I have fun posing next to statues. :)
This was the ceiling in the King's apartment area. Ready to start painting mom?
There was a whole room with guns as decoration! I think Devin would have liked this.
Gardens.
Tavia and I
Just the girls. Of course we HAD to do a photo shoot...
Saturday we had our London walk which ended in King's Cross train station! Home of Platform 9 3/4. I am going to Hogwarts!
Oh and that is Harry's wand. :)
Saturday was also our friend Courtney's birthday. A group of us went out to MeatLiquor. They had really good burgers!
Here are my primary kids!
Sunday a large group of us were able to go down to Brighton to put on a fireside for the YSA's down there. We had quiet an adventure! We got to the train station to find out that all trains to Brighton were cancelled due to electrical problems. We knew this was a big deal for the YSA, so we said a prayer and waited for a miracle. Luckily there was a train to East Croydon that would have one Brighton train leaving from it. It felt like the end of the world as everyone who needed to get to Brighton raced to the train! When we got to East Croydon we had 6 minutes to board the train to Brighton. And it was the only one going down! It was a miracle that we made it down! It was a beautiful fireside! The spirit was so strong as we heard testimonies of some conversion stories from our group and many musical numbers!
The Hinman's are my families friend from Virginia who are serving a mission in the Brighton area as well! They were able to drive over and make it to the fireside. I had heard so much about them but never got to meet them! It was so nice to have them there!
Twiners!!
